CMF Comfy Outdoor Garment
Description
Originally established in 1915 in Seattle as a bedding and down quilt manufacturer, Comfy Outdoor Garment (now widely known as CMF) was revived in 2009 by the Harajuku-based vintage store Lost Hills. Under the direction of Makoto Okuya, the brand reimagines vintage American mountaineering aesthetics with modern technical fabrics (like eVent and dyneema) and avant-garde, modular silhouettes. While the name pays homage to its American roots, CMF is operationally a Japanese label central to the modern gorpcore movement.
